Welcome to our Experiment into the Great Unknown!
We took the leap and moved to Costa Rica to explore a different way of life on a 6 month experiment.
Too much stuff. Too many things on the schedule that didn’t give Life. Too little time to create or to spend engaging in rich conversations with friends. We wanted more time. More aliveness. A simpler life. Less screens.
We wanted our children to have a different experience. To live a life that responds to their needs. That gives and nourishes not stifles and suppresses. We wanted family life that felt like like harmony.
Crooked the road, perilous the path, and now we find ourselves here.

And everywhere we are meant to be!

Our journey
We’d pondered many alternatives.
Van life, overlanding, west coast vibes, tiny homes, remote off grid.
Eco villages, intentional communities, how to buy land with friends.
Unschooling, homeschooling, worldschooling and alternative ed galore.
Things have an ease now.
Motherhood, children free, nourishing food, a clean home.
“Mom, I love that people aren’t in as much of a rush here”. My son sensitive to over stimulation now more settled, regulated, at peace.
There’s time for creativity, projects, relationships, for learning how to make my mom’s chicken noodle soup.
Rather than going to seek nature, another aspect to fit in, a need to meet, we now live amongst 100 shades of green.
It feels like a massage to my brain.
There’s a stillness here that settles.
Dreams feel more possible up here in this canopy of trees.
This pulse of peace allowing the space for ideas to be clarified and Visions to emerge.
Bringing us to a place of deep understanding of our values as a family and on how we want to raise our children.
Our 6 months gone and here we remain.
We are creating some beautiful things with some beautiful people.
